Our story is pretty simple.

Born in Brooklyn in 2019, 18th Ward Brewing was built on a simple idea: good beer tastes even better when it’s shared with friends. Founders Jordan Beldner and Michael O’Brien—lifelong friends of over 30 years—decided to take their love of beer to the next level after successfully opening two neighborhood bars. What began as a dream quickly grew into an award-winning brewery, proudly earning recognition at the New York State Beer Competition.

At 18th Ward, brewing is more than a craft—it’s a family affair. Owned and operated by friends and family, every pint reflects the same care, creativity, and community spirit that started it all. From hop-forward IPAs to playful seasonal experiments, our beers are brewed with passion, precision, and just the right touch of Brooklyn grit.
